The Amendments 11-27 of the US Constitution.
11th Amendment
The 11th amendment says the Judicial power of the United States shall not be construed to extend to any suit in law or equity, commenced or prosecuted against one of the United States by Citizens of another State, or by Citizens or Subjects of any Foreign State. This means that federal courts and the U.S. Supreme court have no control over state or local courts.
12th Amendment
The 12th amendment modifies how the president and vice president are elected. Prior to this amendment, the winning candidate for president became president and the opponent candidate became the vice president. After this amendment both candidates will choose a partner to work with, who will in turn become the vice president if the candidate wins.
13th Amendment
The thirteenth amendment abolishes all forms of slavery for all states in the US.
14th Amendment
The fourteenth amendment makes sure that anyone who is naturalized or born in the US are citizens.
15th Amendment
The 15th amendment ensures that you can vote no matter what race you are.
16th Amendment
The 16th amendment states that congress can tax its citizens on income tax, but the tax must be based off of the general population.
17th Amendment
The 17th amendment states that U.S. senators are elected by the popular vote.
18th Amendment
The 18th amendment bans all forms of alcohol in the United States. This will lead to many problems including the birth of a mafia.
19th Amendment
The 19th amendment states that all citizens can vote, regardless of race and gender. This means that females can vote.
20th Amendment
The 20th amendment states that if the president gets impeached or dies the vice president will take on, and if the vice president is impeached or dies, then the speaker of the house becomes president and so on.
21st Amendment
The 21st amendment repeals the 18th amendment because the government noticed that making alcohol illegal did more harm than good.
22nd Amendment
The 22nd amendment Limits the president to two terms, each term is 4 years. This is a result of Teddy Roosevelt, who served 3 terms as president
23rd Amendment
The 23rd amendment gives D.C. 3 votes in the electoral college
24th Amendment
The 24th amendment gives you the right to vote even if you haven't paid your taxes.
25th Amendment
The 25th amendment states that if the vice president can no longer server, the president will find a replacement, and if the president can no longer serve, the vice president will take over.
26th Amendment
The 26th Amendment states that if you are 18 or older you can vote
27th Amendment
The 27th amendment prevents laws affecting congressional salary.
